At our last Karoo GravelGrinder, the water-point on the second day was voted the best on tour. It was situated next to a labyrinth built of stones by a local farmer. The walk to the centre is exactly one kilometre, riders enjoyed local cuisine from farms in the area while they stretched their legs wandering around the labyrinth.
The area is remote, no cell-phone reception or civilisation to disturb you, just the quiet of the Karoo and the hub-bub of your group enjoying themselves in the wide open spaces.
Waterpoint delicacies included, local cheeses, olives, figs, jams, dried fruit and freshly baked bread
